Beyond The Xtra Mile

Just before I entered high school I knew I wanted to move through high school in a novel way. I was intensely passionate about art and science and I knew I wouldn't be able to pursue those interests if I went the traditional route through school. So I came up with a plan that would allow me to both follow my passions and learn as much as possible, while also taking the advanced placement courses my school offered. The administration loved my idea and gave me the green light. As part of the program I created a website - Beyond the Xtra Mile - which acted as both portfolio for my work and as a road map for other students to follow in my footsteps.
